Niki's great grandfather was born in Borgotaro in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy between Veneto and Apulia. He came to live in the UK and encourgaed his son Nikki's grandfather to set up Minoli tiles in Oxford in Divinity road in 1940 making Terrazzo tiles. Niki's grandmother knew about floors of another variety, dance floors, she designed and made ballgowns before the war.

When Niki's father joined the firm in the 1950's they expanded into importing tiles and therefore supplying every type of tile imaginable.

Nikki joined a generation later and went on to becoming the buyer for Minoli and it was during this time that she realised she had the eye for design.

With La Mia casa she has been able to combine the flair for business and design that her grandparents had..

Paul worked in the motor industry for years before becoming joining his wife as a partner in La Mia Casa and now helps with all aspects of running the business whilst renovating and restoring their properties.
